Q: Is the O.S.I.R real?

A: Throughout the series run, 'Psi Factor' maintained that the organization depicted as the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research was in fact a real and operating organization based out of California (USA). Though, because of the organization's need for privacy and discretion, the creators of 'Psi Factor' claimed they changed the group's name and gave it the alias 'The O.S.I.R.'. An organization taking the name, was recently located in California by online columnist, "Doc John" however through a telephone call the organization wouldn't confirm or deny their link the "Psi Factor" (Note: Doc John's website disappeared a few months after the article was published and the O.S.I.R. phone number noted in the article has since gone unlisted). Also, the O.S.I.R. has been listed on show creator / writer / parapsychologist, Christopher Chacon's resume which has circulated the internet as well as other show creator, Peter Aykroyd.
