Matt Preager

matt (12K)

Known for his sharp intellect and acid wit, Case Manager Matt Preager is a hands-on detective with a mechanical engineering degree. Along his career path, Matt found himself drawn to the world of criminology and developed particular expertise in explosives technology. Praeger has been an expert witness for many high-profile investigations and made a name for himself through his damaging testimony for the prosecution in the World Trade Center Bombing case. Prior to joining the O.S.I.R. Preager worked for the F.A.A., Interpol and the F.B.I. solving high stakes cases and bringing justice to the criminals behind them.

Praeger pushes the team hard and himself harder. Not a laboratory desk jockey, he loves being out in the field and getting his hands dirty. A brilliant criminologist, Praeger treats every investigation like a crime scene. He is quick to assess how a situation might have occured through sorting and sifting clues sparked by evidence on hand. He also has an unerring sense of political necessity. When he puts his mind to it, he can charm, disarm and finesse a situation. In addition, he enjoys a wry sense of humor, finding an absurd side to every situation he encounters.

Praeger is intense and persistent, with a keen sense of sarcasm that helps him cope with the disturbing events constantly faced by the team, but persistence is both his strong suit and his fatal flaw. He doesn't know when to quit, and his renegade personality often puts him at odds with other O.S.I.R. members.
